This is just a quick post to let you know that we have a good stock of the adorable new Webkinz Valentine Love Frog and Love Monkey in stock at our store in The Kids Market on Granville Island in Vancouver. As you know, you can phone us anyday between 10am and 6pm to find out availability of your favourite Webkinz and we'll even pop it in the mail the same day for you. A post office has opened up just down the hall so it's so easy to send the Love Frog hopping your way or the Love Monkey swinging across the province. Our number is 604-682-8404.

Webkinz Special Offer for Froggy February at Funky

It's been ages since I've said "Hi" to those of you who find your way here. Same old excuse we all have: not enough time. So I'll keep this short and sweet. The Funky Little Shop in The Kids Market on Granville Island in Vancouver seems to have Webkinz frogs breeding in some hidden pond. As a result, we've got a few of the hoppy little things around that we'd like to find new homes for, so, for the month of February, buy any two Webkinz Pets and you can get one of the frogs at HALF PRICE. This means you can have your choice of the orginal Webkinz Frog, the Webkinz Tree Frog, the Webkinz Bullfrog, or the Webkinz Spotted Frog for only $7.50. This is a great opportunity to grab that extra one for the 'birthday box' most of us have stashed in a closet for last minute birthday party gifts.

Also on the other Webkinz news: The Funky Little Shop is expecting another shipment of clothes and the February releases any day. It still remains a mystery to me how those wonderful people at Ganz allocate the Webkinz, but better late than never I guess. Feel free to call the shop, 604-682-8404 any day and find out if the one you're looking for is in stock.

Just so you know, The Funky Little Shop tries to keep all the Webkinz available for purchase. Sometimes there's a bit of a time lag, but it will never be more than a few weeks. One of the great mysteries in life seems to be how Funky can have 12 Webkinz Black and White Cats for 8 weeks then they all sell in 4 days! I'll be back with an updated list of all the Webkinz Pets temporarily residing in our store (waiting for their new home with you) very soon.

I've been remiss in updating this blog. Sorry. Excuses are odious, but, as you probably also say numerous times a day, "There's not enough time!"

CONGRATULATIONS TO SIENA WHO WON HERSELF THE WEBKINZ REINDEER. She's already been in the store to pick it up. Hope you have many happy hours with your Reindeer, Siena.

Just a quick note about the Reindeer. Seems it is not as rare as the older limited edition Webkinz have been. I remember when the Sherbet Bunny and Love Puppy could not be ordered by Funky after the initial order and were sold out in days. There appears to be a lot of Reindeer around and no shortage at Ganz either. So don't worry if you haven't found one yet. Funky still has a few in stock as well.

The Webkinz Penguin arrived a few days ago. It is selling out faster than any other Webkinz I've ever carried, and The Funky Little Shop has carried every single Webkinz since the beginning. I think there are about 36 left and I have no more orders between now and Christmas. Don't worry about phoning Funky (604-682-8404) and asking us to mail you one, we're very happy to do that. If you go to the Webkinz site, http://www.webkinz.com/ you can see for yourself how adorable it is. What you can only guess at is how very squishy soft and cuddly it really is.

FASHION ANGELS

Don't know how many of you are familiar with this award winning (Canadian Toy Testing Council 3 Star and Oppenheimer Toy Portfolio pick) line from New York. It is for girls 8 to 13 years old. Fashion Angels is definitely for the girlie girl. This is perfect for the budding fashionistas and make-up artist. Hey Moms, do you remember filling your notebooks at school with your dress designs sketched out in pencil, squeezed in the margins beside your history notes? The Fashion Angels Design Sketch Book gives a girl the language, terminology, tools, and suggestions for creating hundreds of fabulous outfits. ROOTS KIDS WATCHES

Funky has had the cheap and cheerful kiddies watches for a long time and Paul Frank watches for a little while. But last week we added the newest watches from ROOTS CANADA designed for the active kid. Some of the ROOTS watches are the girl pink and flowery, but we also were able to snag some of the sportier uni-sex ones including the Hockey watch. Yeah!! With a price point of $34.99 and $44.99 these ROOTS watches seemed like a good deal to us and we're proud to add them to the inventory.

EMILY THE STRANGE Fans

Met a few of you this week as a result of the brief mention in this blog a while back. Apparently EMILY the STRANGE is getting harder to find. We still have Emily the Strange t-shirts and purses. I have to admit, I don't know if I am continuing with Emily but talk to me when you come in and see if you can convince us at The Funky Little Shop to continue.

Maybe we ought to create a name for ourselves, you know, like how Star Trek fans are 'Trekkies' (does that 'date' me?). How about 'Webbies' (now I'm picturing Google with its webfeet), or Kinzies, or....? Any ideas?

OH, JUST REALIZED I SHOULD MENTION THAT WE ARE CHARGING ONLY $14.99 (plus tax of course) FOR ANY WEBKINZ PET--EVEN THE LIMITED EDITION ONES. This is the 'official' Webkinz price and we will never overcharge you.

JUST ARRIVED

We're stocked up now with the luscious Webkinz Lipgloss. We have Apple, Mango, Banana and Strawberry. Sounds like fruit smoothie time to me. Back in a flash.....

The Webkinz Bookmarks are stocked up again too. At only $1.99 each they make a fabulous 'goodie bag' stuffer. I know you need an active Webkinz account to use their code, but hey, if you give one to a friend in their goodie bag then they have an excellent reason to ask for their own Webkinz Pet if they aren't already introduced to Webkinz World fun.

Webkinz Husky and Raccoon In Stock

Hello again from The Funky Little Shop at Kids Market on Granville Island

Finally! The Webkinz Husky and Raccoon have arrived in the store. They are definitely as cute as their picture. And soft. We are well-stocked now for the holiday season. Except, unfortunately, with the Webkinz charms. We've received two shipments already of the charms but they have all sold out. There are Webkinz purses, knapsacks, necklaces, bracelets, bookmarks, mouse pads and even some glitter spray in stock, but the charms....Ganz tells me that we can't expect a new shipment until the end of November. They're waiting and so we're waiting. But don't worry, The Funky Little Shop will make sure The Kids Market will be one of the first places in Vancouver to get a new shipment.
